Who Should Apply?

We are searching for a dedicated Qualified Electrician, backed by at least one year of relevant experience. A valid Code C1 driver’s licence with PDP (goods and passengers) is essential. The ideal candidate will exhibit the following key attributes and competencies:

  • Physical Fitness: Ability to perform manual operations, including lifting and carrying equipment and working on elevated structures.
  • Environmental Adaptability: Capable of working under physically stressful conditions, such as excessive noise and varying weather.
  • Deadline-Oriented: Ability to work within strict deadlines to restore electricity interruptions.
  • Availability: Willingness to work overtime and partake in standby duty as per a roster.
  • Sensory Abilities: Good sight, speech, and hearing are crucial, including the ability to pass a colour blindness test.
  • Skills: Supervisory, report-writing, and administrative skills are essential.

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing artisan duties critical to the maintenance, repair, and construction of low- and high-tension electricity overhead lines. This includes working with aerial bundled conductor systems and supervising subordinate staff.

Selection Process

Candidates may undergo testing for any required skill or competency, which includes pre-employment screening, medical examination, security vetting, and psychometric assessment.
