Vacant Positions Summary

  • CHIEF DIRECTOR: CORPORATES SERVICES (REF NO: HS 1/2024)

    • This senior management role focuses on strategic planning, performance management, information technology, subsidy systems, corporate communication, and other key support services for the Department.
    • Ideal candidates possess a minimum of a relevant Honors Degree and 5 years of senior management experience in a similar environment.
  • DIRECTOR: LEGAL & CONTRACT SERVICES (REF NO: HS 2/2024)

    • This position requires strong legal expertise to provide legal administrative services, legal advice, and litigation support for the Department.
    • Ideal candidates hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s/LLB Degree, along with 5 years of experience at a middle or senior managerial level in a relevant legal environment.
  • DIRECTOR: PROGRAM DESIGN AND ALLOCATION MANAGEMENT (REF NO: HS 3/2024)

    • This role manages housing applications, subsidy programs, policy implementation, the National Housing Needs Register, and stakeholder guidance.
    • Ideal candidates possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Public Management, plus 5 years of experience at a middle or senior managerial level in a relevant environment.
  • DISTRICT DIRECTOR: FEZILE DABI (REF NO: HS 4/2024)

    • Ideal candidates possess Grade 12 Certificate, Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Business Admin/Public Management (NQF 7), 5 years’ experience at a middle or senior managerial level in a relevant environment.
    • The role oversee the implementation of various housing programs, land tenure services, provide technical support and project monitoring, and manage administrative functions (human resources, finances, supply chain) within the Fezile Dabi District.

  • DIRECTOR: FINANCIAL AND BUDGET MANAGEMENT (REF NO: HS 5/2024)

    • The ideal candidate possess Grade 12 Certificate, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting/Finance/Economics/Public Finance, 5 years’ experience at a middle or senior managerial level in a relevant environment. Knowledge of PFMA, Treasury Regulations, and BAS.
    • The role requires the individual to strategically advise on budget and financial matters, ensure sound accounting practices, implement debt management strategies, oversee payroll and bank account functions, develop accounting policies, compile annual financial statements, and manage the department’s budget and cash flow.
  • CHIEF CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER (REF NO: HS 7/2024)

    • The role oversees all aspects of construction projects, including design review, budget management, and risk mitigation.
    • The ideal candidate requires a registered Professional Construction Project Manager with 6 years’ experience.

  • DEPUTY DIRECTOR IN THE OFFICE OF HOD (REF NO: HS 8/2024)

    • Provides high-level administrative support to the Head of Department, managing meetings, reports, and communication.
    • Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 10 years’ experience in office management and government operations.

  • ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: INTERNAL AUDIT (REF NO: HS 9/2024)

    • Conducts internal audits to assess departmental controls and identify risk areas.
    • Requires a relevant degree in internal auditing/accounting and 5 years’ experience.

  • ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: GRANT PLANNING, MONITORING & REPORTING (REF NO: HS 10/2024)

    • Manages the financial aspects of grants, ensuring proper allocation and reporting.
    • Requires a degree in finance/accounting and 5 years’ experience in financial management.
