Job Description

REQUIREMENTS: National Senior Certificate, Diploma in Forensic, Policing, Law, Paralegal, Audit Investigation, Risk Management, Governance and Public Management. 3-5 years in investigation supervisory role. Ms Office and presentation skills. EB- code 8. Certified Fraud Examiner, IRMSA and Ethics Officer Certification will be advantageous. DUTIES: Assist in implementing the departmental and municipal Fraud Prevention Plan. Assist in identifying departmental and municipal fraud risks and mitigating plan thereof. Conduct preliminary investigations on reported allegations of fraud and/or corruption. Assist in legal proceedings, including testifying in courts regarding forensic report findings. Maintain a departmental anti-corruption case database/register. Assist compile a departmental anti-corruption reports for oversight bodies. Assist raise departmental anti-corruption and ethics awareness. Competencies: An appropriate, recognised Bachelor’s Degree/National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Law/Auditing/Public Admin/Risk Management/Fraud Examination with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in fraud prevention and investigation. Possession of a Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE) certification an added advantage. Computer literacy. Communication (written and verbal), coordination, report writing and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of the Anti-Corruption Legislative Framework (PRECCA, PDA, POCA, FICA, PFMA, CPA, PAIA).
