Job Description

REQUIREMENTS: A Grade 12 certificate or equivalent, Degree/ Diploma in General Nursing, Registration with SANC as a General Nurse, Proof of current registration with SANC (2021 Receipt) plus a minimum of 8 years appropriate recognizable experience in Nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing. At least 3 years of the period referred above must be appropriate or recognizable supervisory experience in planning, monitoring and evaluation in a Health care environment. Proof of current and previous work experience and the service record endorsed and stamped by HR. Ability to implement National Core Standards, Knowledge of Batho Pele and Patients’ Rights. Knowledge of hospital quality assurance and Infection Control practices. Communication skills, human relations and ability to teach and train staff within a team. Ability to critically analyze complex information and to interpret that in relation to performance, health outcomes relevant to the institution and performance reports. Strong leadership, planning organizing and decision making skills. Recommendations: valid code B, EB or C1 driver’s license and computer literacy. DUTIES: Administer and facilitate the implementation of an integrated monitoring and evaluation framework fully aligned to National, Provincial and Department’s performance reporting requirements. Participate in peer review based on the agreed quality assurance monitoring indicators and tools. Coordinate the development of the institutional strategic plans which are aligned to annual performance plan and District Health Plan. Analyze data obtained from sources and other information systems against indicators with a view to develop reliable performance profiles for verification and publishing of the prescribed performance and other reports. Coordinate planning, monitoring and evaluation unit for the hospital and outpatient clinics. Ensure that quality control 170 systems, plans including IPC are in place for use during inspection and auditing. Enforce compliance to quality and Infection Control legislative prescripts in all units. Oversee Quality and IPC. Ensure good clinical governance in the hospital. Ensure efficient & effective utilization of resources allocated to the component and development of staff.
