Job Functions Business Analyst Industries Science & Technology Specification Scope of the Position: The Business Analyst position reports to the Head: Business Analysis and Knowledge Management. This is a specialist position and does not have subordinates. Purpose of the Position: To serve as a bridge between IT and line of business, conduct an organisation wide assessment of business processes, identify business process bottleneck, red tapes and area of improvement, determine and design requirement needed to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency reports to stakeholders. Duties/Outputs: Develop and manage end-to-end processes designed to create value add for the customer Develop and implement process optimisation/ improvement strategies Identify business process bottleneck, process redundancy, handshakes and suggest process improvements Design and manage organisation wide process inventories Facilitate workshop sessions aimed at development of business processes Process business requirements into functional requirements and other specifications and user scenarios Prepare accurate and detailed specifications and guides for end users Provide training on business processes Develop business case for procurement of business systems Collect, analyse and describe business requirements of business systems. Define system changes, specifications of integration, testing and customisation, including failure analysis and prioritization Gathering and analysing data to aid in decision-making on daily basis Ensure efficient and effective utilisation of various systems Ensure continuous review and implementation of continuous improvement and system(s) enhancement Coordination and facilitation of systems training to end users Prepare system training manuals Facilitate development of system related project milestone, deliverables, timeline, risk and resources Manage, monitor and evaluate business process and system project implementation Manage project change initiatives related to business process and systems Maintain and manage project risk related issues Facilitate investment data cleansing projects Engage with business to solicit and structure data for analytics and reporting purposes Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly reports Requirements Qualifications and Experience: Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Business Analysis Certificate, TOGAF 3 – 5 years in Business Analysis, software Development Lifecycle, (SDLC), IT administration & support and project management.
