  • Centre Key Responsibilities • Develop and deploy appropriate Commercial strategies and policies throughout the company including corporate/product marketing • Conduct viability studies on new products, services, channels, mergers and acquisitions and grow revenue • Ensure that new ventures are aligned to the business strategy and provide profitable growth opportunities for the brand and the business • Conduct financial analysis on existing products and service offerings • Devise and maintain pricing and dealing level strategy in line with the overall strategic growth agenda • Foster collaborative partnerships and synergies between Commercial, Corporate Marketing, Operations and Supply Chain • Work jointly with customers to create category insights and facilitate collaboration between customers and the company • Prepare timely periodical (M/Q/A) financial and management reporting including detailed analysis on revenues, discount & allowances and advertising & marketing • Provide leadership, coaching and capability development programs to enable sales to meet revenue objectives • Maintain relationships with clients by providing support information and guidance, researching and recommending new opportunities, recommending profit and service improvements • Ensure excellent networking and aggressively building of relations with key stakeholders to establish partnerships/joint ventures to the benefit of the Company • Ensure the efficient management and control of function / resources / budget in accordance with the stipulations of the PFMA, Articles of Association, fraud prevention and risk management principles, corporate governance, legislation, company policies, processes, regulations, Delegation of Authority, relevant acts, / agreements, SLAs, etc. Minimum Requirements, Skills & Attributes Qualifications: Relevant Master’s degree in Commerce (NQF Level 9) Experience: Minimum of 10 years’ experience as the head of Commercial or Marketing in a top-tier multinational FMCG organisation in the retail or wholesale sector Proven experience in managing brands and marketing (SOX compliance is an advantage. Knowledge and understanding of: • Principles, concepts, strategies and techniques relating to retail sales and brand management, marketing and customer management through retail channel in the FMCG context • Strategy development, deployment, planning and communications • Project management (principles, practices, techniques and tools) • Best practices in Market • Organisational development, management techniques and good business practices • Financial Management • Value Chain Management • Risk and Compliance management • Relevant statutes, rules and regulations. Skills: Conflict resolution and/or mediation; Influencing and Negotiation; Financial Management skills, i.e. budgeting, cost benefit analysis and business case development; Advanced verbal and written communication, presentation and selling; Conceptualisation and integration; Decision making; Change managementAnalytical Thinking and Research; Ability to analyse complex problem situations and design effective remedial solutions; Planning, coordination & implementation; Accurate numerical computations, analytical and overall quantitative; Developing and delivering business strategy (e.g. Turnaround Strategy) Skills.
