    The Organisation requires the services of a Manager: Enterprise Development in the Socio-Economic Transformation Division. This position will be based at Groenkloof National Park, Pretoria. Two-year fixed-term contract.

Job Description

Requirements: Be in possession of a B.Com/Economics/Business Development/Management Degree or relevant tertiary qualification. Six (6) years of work experience in Enterprise/Supplier Development. Have an understanding of the SET strategy and related programmes. Knowledge in specific legislation, i.e. PFMA, MFMA, PPPFA, BBBEE codes, etc. Knowledge of District Municipal Model and Rural Economic Transformation Model. An understanding of Beneficiation Models. An understanding of commodity and market supplier analysis. An understanding of township and village and rural economy development model. An understanding of Biodiversity, Marine and Waste Economies. An understanding of community-based tourism infrastructure and product development. An understanding of funding mechanisms, (grant, crowd funding, blended funding, and Foreign Direct Investment’s). Understanding of SANParks financial reporting framework. Knowledge of good Corporate Governance practices. Knowledge of SANParks risk framework. Knowledge of Youth and Women Development programmes Stakeholder engagement and management principles Understanding the Learning and Development framework Understanding of SCM framework Leadership, planning and organising skills. Communication and conflict management skills Computer and Presentation skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Listening and analytical decision-making skills. Good Interpersonal skills and be service-oriented Business, Financial, Project and programme management. Must have a driver’s licence Responsibilities: Coordinate and facilitate the achievement of BEE targets set for the Parks Division in the Annual Procurement Plans and Enterprise Development Plan, in line with SANParks Preferential Procurement Strategy. Undertake demand and supplier analysis in relation to SANParks identified opportunities for SME development. Undertake local market analysis to understand enterprises and suppliers within the local framework. Coordinate Parks Socio-Economic Transformation impact w.r.t jobs and enterprise/suppliers reports. Identification of strategic funding partners and initiate the development of relevant MOUs and SLA’s. Evaluation and assessment of project proposals for financial assistance, including carrying out due diligence and ensuring that applications are up to the standard required. Facilitate socio-economic impact analysis reports. Track the impact made by SANParks to women and youth development initiatives. Liaise and provide aftercare support to small business operators receiving financial support from SANParks. Assist Parks with organizing enterprise/supplier development roadshows. Design, coordinate and ensure implementation of capacity-building initiatives to support identified exempted micro enterprises and qualifying small enterprises. Monitoring/improvement of internal/external stakeholder satisfaction
