Job Description

Minimum Requirements Qualification(s): • B Degree in Engineering at a NQF level 7 with 360 credits • B Tech in Engineering at a NQF level 7 with 360 credits Experience: • 10 Years extensive experience in a utility industry having worked with customers. • Extensive utility power system engineering experience. • Indepth appreciation of generation technologies • Skills and Competencies Behavioural: • Integrity • Honesty • Trustworthiness • Professional Leadership: • Strategic thinking • Team leader • Coaching and mentoring • Promote safety consciousness Knowledge: • Extensive knowledge and understanding of customer management systems and processes. • Extensive knowledge and understanding of electrical transmission and distribution systems and processes. • Electricity industry and market knowledge. Skills: • General management skills • Change management skills • Financial analysis • Relationship management skills • Contract management skills • Communication and engagement • Negotiation and decision making • Analytical skills Key Responsibilities • Provide strategic technical leadership and framework for grid connection technical support and consultation. • Formulate and implement the strategy to meet regulatory and Transmission contract management requirements and commercial services to business units. • Manage service provision to Transmission customers, requirements, and coordinate responses to customer needs. • Formulate and implement the strategy for Transmission’s customer management. • Manage relationships with customers, internal and external stakeholders. • Manage human and finance resources to support the strategy.
