Have you received your outstanding SASSA R350 grant payment from the previous months and now wondering when you will receive your payment for July?

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) hasn’t announced the payment dates yet. However, they have worked tirelessly to clear the appeal and payment backlog.

SASSA has been processing applications for the reconsideration of the Covid-19 Social Relief Distress Grant of R350 and realizing payments. Over seven hundred and fifty thousand (750 000) has been paid already to the approved applicants.

For the past months, they have not been releasing exact dates on when payments will be issued, instead, they have been informing applicants to be expectant and to also check the status of their application on the SRD website.

When payment is ready, SASSA will notify beneficiaries via SMS with a withdrawal confirmation message, which would have been sent to the cell phone number used when applying.

For people who have selected a bank account as a payment method, the payment will be sent to their respective accounts.

Remember, the R350 grant can be collected from any of the approved retail outlets, these are Checkers, Usave, Shoprite, Pick ‘n Pay, and Boxer. Check out the alternative payment methods for collecting your R350 grant.

Covid-19 SRD Grant Recipients Can Lodge Appeals

If your R350 application was declined, you could lodge an appeal on the DSD Independent Tribunal website at https://srd.dsd.gov.za.

Rejected applicants are advised to lodge an appeal as soon as they receive a rejected notification from SASSA and not delay.
