Job Purpose
The Accounts Payables Officer will assist in managing the expenditure of AgriSETA by ensuring timely and accurate payments, financial administration, and compliance with financial policies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Liability Management
- Manage the inflow of invoices.
- Receive all invoices due for payment.
- Prepare payment requests.
- Maintain a monthly accrual list.
- Maintain an age analysis of payments.
- Manage the supplier Masterfile.
2. Expenditure Management
- Capture invoices on the accounting system.
- Report and follow up on queries.
- Receive and resolve payment queries.
- File payment packs properly.
3. Administration
- Organize and manage finance meetings.
- Maintain an invoice register.
4. Cash Management
- Capture all petty cash transactions on the accounting system.
5. Management of Fruitless, Wasteful, and Irregular Expenditure
- Report any identified cases of fruitless, wasteful, or irregular expenditure to the Assistant Manager: Expenditure.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- A BCom degree (NQF Level 7) in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a finance-related environment.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Ability to work under pressure.

- Strong communication skills.

- Strong knowledge of GRAP, PFMA, PFMA Regulations, and Treasury norms and standards.

- Reporting To: Manager: Research, Monitoring, and Evaluation

Job Purpose
The Researcher will be responsible for administering research functions within the Skills Planning Division, supporting research efforts to strengthen the Sector Skills Plan and AgriSETA-specific research initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Research Administration
- Support the Research Manager in research activities.
- Conduct desktop, field, and telephonic research.
- Develop research tools such as questionnaires and interview schedules.
- Conduct face-to-face and telephonic interviews with stakeholders.
- Manage and track questionnaires received.
- Capture and collate research data.
2. Data Capturing
- Collect and capture research data for the Sector Skills Plan and research reports.
- Administer, capture, and edit all research-related questionnaires.
3. Sector Skills Committees (SSC) Management
- Organize and coordinate SSC meetings.
- Draft meeting minutes.
- Receive and capture travel claims for SSC members.
- Conduct site visits for SSC meetings and plenary sessions.
- Organize and maintain SSC files.
4. Data Management
- Collate, capture, and store all research tools and questionnaires.
- Compile research-related data upon request.
- Maintain datasets and conduct basic data analysis.
5. Stakeholder Liaison
- Maintain relationships with stakeholders.
- Provide research guidance to stakeholders.
- Provide feedback on travel claims for SSC members.
6. Administration
- Organize research-related meetings with stakeholders.
- Generate weekly and monthly reports.
- Handle research-related administrative tasks.
- Track and manage records of all research activities.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences (NQF Level 7) with Research Methodology as a module.
- A postgraduate qualification in Social Sciences will be an added advantage.
- A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in conducting research.
- Experience in undertaking interviews and administering questionnaires.
- Basic knowledge of statistics.
- A valid driver’s license is mandatory.
