Responsibilities
The role of a Cleaner at the Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness requires the successful candidate to:
- Conduct general cleaning and housekeeping tasks, including dusting, sweeping, polishing, scrubbing, mopping, and cleaning windows, walls, and equipment.
- Participate in waste management and linen management processes, ensuring proper handling and disposal.
- Ensure cleaning materials and equipment are used and stored safely and efficiently.
- Assist and support supervisors and colleagues in maintaining a hygienic and safe environment by following departmental standards and procedures.
Required Skills and Experience
Candidates applying for the Cleaner vacancy should possess:
- Experience: Prior experience in domestic and clinic cleaning services.
- Educational Skills: Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
