    The Government Employees Pension Fund (GEPF) is excited to announce its GEPF Internships Programme for the period from 01 September 2024 to 31 March 2026. This programme is designed to provide valuable work experience to unemployed graduates who have completed at least a three-year Degree or National Diploma in the specified fields.

    1. Information Technology

    • Requirements: National Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering

    • Requirements: National Diploma/ Degree in Internal Audit

    3. Ombud (Legal)

    • Requirements: Bachelor of Law Degree (LLB)

    4. Benefits Administration

    • Requirements: Degree in Business, Humanities or Social Science

    5. Secretariat and Administration

    • Requirements: N6/ Diploma/ Degree in Business Administration, Business Management or related fields

    6. Graphic Design

    • Requirements: N6/ National Diploma/ Degree in Graphic Design or related fields (Portfolio of Evidence will be required from shortlisted candidates)

    • Requirements: Degree in Finance/ Accounting

    8. Human Resource

    • Requirements: N6/ National Diploma/ Degree: HR or Industrial Psychology

    General Principles and Requirements

    • Eligibility: Unemployed graduates who have completed at least a three-year Degree/National Diploma or students who need practical workplace exposure to complete their qualification.
    • Academic Performance: Preference will be given to candidates with a minimum 60% aggregate pass mark at the undergraduate level and a minimum 55% pass mark at the postgraduate level.
    • Citizenship: Only open to South African citizens between the ages of 18 and 35.
    • Exclusions: Students still needing to finish or qualify for a Degree or National Diploma should not apply. Applicants with prior internship experience or formal employment in the field of study will not be considered.
    • Accommodation: GEPF does not provide accommodation for interviews or appointed candidates.
    • Employment Equity: The recruitment process is employment equity compliant, with preference given to people with disabilities.
    • Integrity: Providing false information will result in immediate dismissal.
    • Communication: Only short-listed candidates will be contacted. If you have not been contacted within one month after the closing date, consider your application unsuccessful.
