Requirements
- Minimum educational qualification: Qualification that allows registration with the SANC as a Nursing assistant.
- Registration with a Professional Council: Current registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant.
- Experience: Grade 1: None.
- Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognisable nursing experience after registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant.
- Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognisable nursing experience after registration with SANC as a Nurse Assistant.
- Inherent requirements of the job: Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
- Will be required to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Must be prepared to assist in all departments according to operational needs.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Competencies (knowledge/skills): Good communication, planning and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in the multidisciplinary team.
- Enhance patient care through the implementation of SOP’s, policies, and guidelines.

- Assist patients with activities of daily living (physical care).
- To provide elementary clinical nursing care.
- Effective utilization of physical and financial resources.
- Maintain professional growth/ ethical standards and selfdevelopment.
