Requirements
- Matric plus an undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6) in Built Environment field as recognized by SAQA.
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience as a registered Professional Construction Project Manager with the SACPCMP; and valid driver’s license (with exception of person with disability).
- Core and Process Competencies: Sound and in-depth knowledge of knowledge of programme and project management; knowledge of Town planning application of the legislative framework governing the public service;
- National Building Regulations & standard;
- SANS 10400 Building Regulations;
- Occupational Health & safety Act, Human Settlement Planning &
- Design, National Housing Code, PFMA etc.
- Project design and analysis; legal and operational compliance as well as the creation of a high-performance culture;
- Applicable legislation and prescripts in the Project Management field;
- Civil and Construction industries.

Duties
- Manage construction projects;
- Conduct technical and Integrity inspections on various construction assets.
- Ensure that construction projects are implemented in line with the NHBRC requirements and standards;
- Ensure that appointed consultants manage the quality of work within their professional scope and responsibility;
- Ensure that contractors timeously receive all relevant specifications and details to construct.
- Adjudicate all applications of variation orders and extensions of time and make recommendations to the approving authority within the Department.
- Monitor the performance of Project Managers under his/her supervision.
- Mentor, develop and offer technical support to improve performance.
