- Grade 12/ Matric and a qualification at NQF level 6 in Civil Engineering or Construction Management as recognized by SAQA.
- Six (6) years road work maintenance/Construction experience.
- Valid driver’s license, with the exception of applicants with disabilities.

Duties
- Monitor the maintenance and repair of road surfaces on all surfaced roads such as resurfacing interval, culvert/bridge replacement, line painting, replacement of signs, grade and resurface gravel on loose top roads.
- Develop maintenance schedules for assets (roads, plant, equipment, etc.).
- Plan and prepare weekly/monthly site programme.
- Manage contracted services, project management and final inspection for capital projects.
- Provide technical advice on claims against the department.
- Monitor and check the quality of work done by contractors/maintenance teams.
- Manage and develop staff.
