Requirements
- Has met all the requirements set out by the HPCSA i.e. successfully completed M1 as a student psychologist and is able to register as an intern psychologist in 2027.
- Good work ethic, professionalism, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Have already completed a significant portion of the thesis/dissertation component of the Master’s Degree – written confirmation from research supervisor required.
- Honours Degree in Psychology; successful completion of M1 theoretical component and thesis/dissertation component well under way.
Duties
- In and out – patient clinical assessment and intervention.
- Forensics services 30-day observation and state patient intervention.
- Conducting psychometric assessments.
- General and clinical administrative tasks.
- Participate in academic programmes – case presentations, journal club and ethics.
