Requirements
- Grade 12 (Senior Certificate) Plus.
- Degree/ diploma in General Nursing, Midwifery, Psychiatric Nursing, Community Health and Nursing Education Plus.
- Current Registration with South African Nursing Council for the year 2026 Plus.
- A minimum of four (4) years (PN-D1) appropriate/recognizable experience after registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council in General Nursing.
- A minimum of fourteen (14) years (PN-D2) appropriate / recognizable experience after registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council of which 10 years of the period must be appropriate recognizable experience in Nursing Education Institution after obtaining the 1year post qualification in Nursing Education.
- In possession of an unendorsed valid RSA Drivers Licence (Code EB).
- Knowledge, Skills, Training and Competence Required: Possess knowledge of relevant Legislation, Acts, Prescripts and Policy frameworks. informing the area of operation.
- Have in- dept. knowledge of procedures and processes related to nursing and nursing education.
- Possess sound knowledge and understanding of nursing code of ethics and professional practice.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of teaching and clinical approaches in General Nursing/ Midwifery.
- Have good research and analytical skills.
- Competence in conflict management and problem-solving skills.
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel.
Duties
- Provide education and training of nurse learner.
- Coordinate Clinical Learning exposure of students between College and Clinical areas.
- Support the mission and promote the image of the College.
- Implement assessment strategies to determine nurse learner’s competencies.
- Exercise control over nurse learners.
- Implement the quality management system for the Nursing Education Institution.
