Requirements
- A recognized National Diploma in Human Resources Management or Public Management/ Administration.
- A minimum of One (1) to two (2) years’ working experience in Human Resource environment coupled with (2) years’ supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of HR prescripts, policies and procedures within the Public Service Knowledge of PERSAL and Smartsheet.
- Good communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and organisational skills, Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, Good Knowledge of Public Service Act, 1994 (as amended) Public Service Regulations, 2016, Labour Relations Act (LRA), 1995, Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), 1997, Employment Equity Act (EEA), 1998, Skills Development Act, 1998.
- Skills: Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Power Point). report writing, planning, organizing, verbal and written communication skills. presentation skills, problem solving, administration, filing and time management skills.
Duties
- Render effective and efficient Human Resources services, Verify payroll and respond to payroll-related queries, Process employee benefits in accordance with applicable policies and procedures, Manage employee files and ensure proper record management in line with legislative requirements, Oversee staff establishment processes, including appointments and maintenance of records, Administer termination of services in compliance with Public Service prescripts, Coordinate recruitment and selection processes, including compiling memoranda for advertisement of posts, Arrange interview logistics, including booking venues and coordinating panels Verify and manage leave transactions on the Smartsheet system, Administer and monitor leave records for staff member, Provide training and mentoring to junior staff ,Supervise and manage the performance of HR staff Providing monthly statistic and assist with Auditor General Queries.

Following the technical exercise and interview, a maximum of three (3) SMS candidates will undergo psychometric assessments to assess cognitive capabilities, behavioural preferences, emotional intelligence, and integrity. One of the minimum entry requirements for the SMS position is the Pre-entry Certificate. No appointment will occur without successfully completing the pre-entry certificate and submission thereof.
