1. Officer: Purchasing Operations

Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12

- 1–3 years of experience in a Supply Chain Management environment
Primary Function: The Officer in Purchasing Operations is responsible for supporting the procurement process by managing RFQ (Request for Quotation) purchases, capturing daily purchase orders, and assisting the Demand Management Unit.
Key Performance Areas:
- Plan and organize activities related to RFQ purchases
- Capture daily purchase orders on the computer
- Provide support to the Demand Management Unit

2. Operations Manager: Stores
Department: Group Finance

Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 plus a 3-year National Diploma in Logistics, Warehousing, Inventory Management, or Financial Management (NQF Level 6)
- 3–5 years of experience in logistics, inventory/warehousing management, or procurement within government
Primary Function: The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing and controlling the daily operations of the GSSCM Stores, focusing on inventory management, stock audits, and liaising with stakeholders to resolve any issues or suggestions.
Key Performance Areas:
- Manage operational activities related to inventory control within the GSSCM Stores
- Oversee financial management and administration for the stores
- Liaise with stakeholders regarding inventory management
- Supervise and ensure the efficient use of human resources

3. Assistant Director: Committee Facilitation & Management
Department: Group Finance
Branch: Group Strategic Supply Chain Management (GSSCM)
Remuneration: R53 022.85 per month (basic salary, excluding benefits)
Location: 6th Floor, SAPPI Building, Braamfontein
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 plus a Bachelor’s Degree in Administration, Business Studies, Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Law (LLB), or related field (NQF Level 7)
- 6–8 years of relevant experience in local government or a similar environment, with 2–3 years in middle management
Primary Function: The Assistant Director will manage and oversee the operational efficiency of the Supply Chain Management Committee System. This includes providing administrative support, managing committee activities, and ensuring that the committee systems align with the overall vision of the SCM Unit.
Key Performance Areas:
- Oversee all activities related to the administration of committees
- Provide administrative and secretarial support for committee meetings
- Manage stakeholder relations and communication
- Handle human resources management, governance, and financial control
Leading Competencies:
- Strong planning and organizational skills
