Purpose
To coordinate effective communication, administrative support and seamless management of organisational tasks related to management meetings within the Office of the Director-General.

Requirements
- A Grade 12 is required with a minimum National Diploma (equivalent to NQF Level 06) in Public Administration or Business Management.
- A Bachelor’s degree (equivalent to NQF Level 7) will be an added advantage.
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience of which 2 years should be on an Assistant Director level or equivalent obtained in the management and administration of an executive office.
- Knowledge and experience of the broader Public Service Policy Framework pertaining to finance and human resource related practices.
- Indepth knowledge and experience of the operational set-up of an executive office.
- Knowledge and experience of policy analysis and interpretation.
Duties
- Strategic Administrative Coordination: Management of the committees’ schedules, organisation of meetings, compiling and assembling of documentation for the meetings, and maintaining accurate records.
- Facilitating effective communication channels.
- Assist with proof reading and quality control of documents submitted for documentation submitted for presentation at committee meetings.
- Coordination and oversight of committee decisions to ensure that organisational goals are met.
- Provide research if required related to matters addressed to assist with recommendations for further actions.
- Budget Coordination: Assist budget manager with the collation of budgetary documents for processing in conjunction with stakeholders to determine the required funding for the MTEF cycle.
- Provide inputs to expenditure commitments and advice on possible under or overspending.
- Facilitate the electronic maintenance and procurement.
- Legislation, Policies and Prescripts: Apply the correct prescripts and other legislation in compliance with prescribed policies and procedures.
- Initiate the implementation of cost containment measures in compliance with directives and prescripts.
- Keep abreast of changes to procedures, policies and processes.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Projects: Coordinate projects in conjunction internal stakeholders involved in the planning, development and implementation.
