Requirements
- Minimum educational qualification: Appropriate 3-year National Diploma/Degree.
- Experience: Extensive experience in Human Resource Management and Facility Management and Support Services in a Hospital setting.
- Extensive supervisory and management.
- Inherent requirement of the job: Valid (Code B/EB) drivers’ license.
- Competencies (knowledge/skills): Appropriate and proven managerial experience in a Health Care environment, showing strong leadership, strategic and operational skills.
- Ability to lead, innovate and drive Human Resource and Facility Management initiatives.
- Excellent knowledge and experience in the implementation of Human Resource Management policies, procedures and practices pertaining to Human Resources, Human Resource Development and Labour Relations.
- Proven capability and experience in managing all aspects of Technical and Support Services within a Hospital Facilities Management environment.
- Excellent communication (written, verbal) and conflict management skills.
- Proficient computer literacy (Microsoft Office package).
- Proven computer literacy with proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to understand and analyse statistical and financial information.
Duties
- Ensure effective and efficient management of all aspects of Human Resources Management, including Labour Relations and Human Resource Development.
- Strategic, operational and financial Management of all Support Services including: waste management, linen, transport, porters, telecommunications, residence, food services and contracted services.
- Strategic management of technical services including workshop and occupational health and safety.
- Provide strategic management and leadership, as member of George Regional Hospital senior management team.
