Requirements
- NQF level 7 qualification in LLB/B.
- Proc as recognized by SAQA.A minimum of 8 years’ appropriate post qualification legal experience.
- 5 years of which must be as a practicing Attorney/Advocate in civil litigation in the Lower and High Courts Admission as an Advocate or Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
- Valid driver’s license except for people with disabilities.

- Knowledge and Skills: Sound and in – depth knowledge of relevant prescripts.
Duties
- Provide legal advisory support and legal opinions to the Department.
- Manage litigations. audit statements of accounts/invoices. analyze litigation costs to ensure compliance and conduct targeted awareness training programs based on litigation trends.
- Draft. review and amend legal instruments such as legislation. compliance framework. policies. prescripts etc.
- Draft and vet contracts.
- MOU/MOAs etc. for legal compliance in line with the provincial. national. regional and internationals instruments etc.
- Manage the effective utilization of resources (Financial.
- Physical and Human) in the sub-directorate in line with the relevant legislation and prescripts etc.

Notes and Z83 guidance
