Requirements
- An undergraduate Diploma (NQF Level 6) qualification in Human Resource Management/ Bachelor’s Degree Industrial and/ Organisational Psychology as recognised by SAQA.
- Two (2) to (3) years’ experience in HR planning, policy and strategy environment.
- Understanding of PSA, PSR, PFMA and any relevant directives.
- Experience in the development, review and implementation of HR policies.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Good administrative, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Basic research or benchmarking skills.
- Client-oriented, ability to work under pressure and be able to cope with a high workload.
- Good communication (written, verbal and liaising) skills.
- Computer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Knowledge of PERSAL system and Vulindlela.
- Ability to work long hours when required.
- Valid code B driver’s licence.
Duties
- To assist in the compilation, review and update of the HR plan, reports and policies (including delegations).
- Conduct research and trend analysis on workforce planning issues and stay abreast of new development.
- Ensure accurate workforce information and data.
- Coordinate HR planning monthly.
- Assist in the monitoring and evaluation of the HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure reliable and validity of HR information.
- Prepare data to inputs for the HR Plan and HR Annual Oversight Report.
- Assist with the assessment of Human Resources components.
- Serve as secretariat for HR Planning and Policy Committees.
- Conduct workshops on HR Planning and policies.

Following the technical exercise and interview, a maximum of three (3) SMS candidates will undergo psychometric assessments to assess cognitive capabilities, behavioural preferences, emotional intelligence, and integrity. One of the minimum entry requirements for the SMS position is the Pre-entry Certificate. No appointment will occur without successfully completing the pre-entry certificate and submission thereof.
