Requirements
- Minimum educational qualification: Qualification that allows registration with the SANC as a Staff Nurse.
- Registration with a professional council: Registration with the SANC as a Staff Nurse.
- Experience: Grade 1: None.
- Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years’ appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Staff Nurse with the SANC.
- Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years’ appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Staff Nurse with the SANC.
- Inherent requirements of the job: Willingness to work shifts, night duty, including weekends, public holidays as well as overtime.
- Willingness to assist in the other wards in the hospital and at the clinics in the Sub-district when needed.
- Competencies (knowledge/skills): Good communication and interpersonal relationships.
- Self- discipline and motivation.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work in a team across the service platforms.
Duties
- Development and implementation of basic patient care.
- Provide basic clinical nursing care.
- Effective utilization of physical and financial resources.
- Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self- development.
- Take actions to improve quality of nursing care.
- Participate in infection prevention and control.
