    List of National Development Agency Vacancies

    1. Provincial Manager

    The Provincial Manager is responsible for overseeing the NDA’s provincial operations and development programs. Based at the Gauteng Provincial Office, the Provincial Manager will ensure the successful planning, coordination, and execution of projects aimed at improving the socio-economic conditions of the province. This role involves leading a team of development professionals and liaising with various stakeholders to accomplish the NDA’s goals.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement provincial operational plans.
    • Monitor and report on the performance of provincial programs.
    • Provide leadership support for projects at the provincial and district levels.
    • Oversee poverty eradication strategies and ensure compliance with NDA guidelines.
    • Manage provincial staff, including development managers, officers, and administrative assistants.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in development studies, social sciences, or management.
    • At least five years of experience in development program management, including three years at a managerial level.
    • Extensive experience in community development, capacity building, and financial management.

    Core Competencies:

    • Strong leadership and strategic capabilities.
    • Excellent project management and financial management skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with government bodies, community organizations, and donors.

    Location: Gauteng Provincial Office

    2. Senior Supply Chain Officer (Logistics)

    The Senior Supply Chain Officer is tasked with managing logistics, procurement processes, and ensuring compliance with national treasury regulations. This role is key in ensuring that all NDA procurement activities align with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and other relevant policies. The Senior Supply Chain Officer will report directly to the Senior Manager of Supply Chain Management.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the procurement of goods and services for the NDA.
    • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and monitor service provider performance.
    • Maintain and update records of purchase orders and suppliers.
    • Prepare and review monthly procurement reports.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, or Business Administration.
    • At least five years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on public sector procurement.
    • Knowledge of PFMA and related procurement regulations.

    Core Competencies:

    • Advanced computer literacy and strong analytical skills.
    • Ability to manage and coordinate procurement operations effectively.
    • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.

    Location: Head Office

    3. Office Attendant

    The Office Attendant provides essential support services, including maintaining cleanliness, organizing meetings, and assisting with basic office administrative tasks. This role is vital in ensuring a clean and organized work environment, which enhances the overall productivity of the office.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate meeting arrangements, including setting up venues and providing refreshments.
    • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the office and kitchen areas.
    • Assist in the management of office supplies and inventory.
    • Provide administrative support when necessary.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • A minimum of a Grade 12 qualification.
    • At least 2 years of experience in cleaning or office administration.
    • Basic computer skills and familiarity with office equipment.

    Core Competencies:

    • Strong organizational and planning skills.
    • Good communication skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and follow instructions.

    Location: Provincial Office

    4. Development Officer (DO)

    The Development Officer is tasked with empowering Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in the Namaqua District. This role involves working directly with community organizations to identify their needs, provide capacity-building support, and help implement community-driven development programs. The Development Officer will facilitate training, mentoring, and guide CSOs in their operational processes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Mobilize CSOs and identify their development needs.
    • Conduct capacity-building workshops and provide technical assistance to CSOs.
    • Help local CSOs in registration processes and ensure their operational sustainability.
    • Foster partnerships with government, donors, and other stakeholders.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, or related fields.
    • Experience in community development, social work, or project management.
    • Familiarity with the NPO Act and relevant social development regulations.

    Core Competencies:

    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to facilitate and support community-driven initiatives.
    • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

    Location: Namaqua District – Springbok
