Requirements

  • An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification);
  • A minimum of 3 years management experience;
  • A valid (Code B or higher) driving license.
  • NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.
  • Competencies: Knowledge of the following: National and Provincial instruments and legislation pertaining to Strategy Development and Stakeholder management;
  • Global, regional and local political, economic and social affairs impacting on the provincial government of the Western Cape;
  • Constitutional, legal and institutional arrangements governing the South African public sector;
  • SMME sector, including policies, dominant issues, roleplayers and service providers.
  • Skills in the following: Written and verbal communication;
  • Computer literacy in MS Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Analytical;
  • Report writing;
  • Interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Duties

  • Identify blockages and inhibitors to economic growth and development;
  • Advocate and create awareness amongst stakeholders of the significance of red tape;
  • Facilitate the resolving of identified blockages and regulatory restraints;
  • Management of Human resources and Finance.
