Requirements
- Minimum educational qualification: Qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as an Enrolled Nurse.
- Registration with a professional council: Registration with the SANC as Enrolled Nurse.
- Experience: Grade 1: None.
- Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as an Enrolled Nurse.
- Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as an Enrolled Nurse.
- Inherent requirement of the job: Willingness to work shifts and after-hours including weekends, public holidays and night duty.
- Willingness to rotate to other departments.
- Ability to lift and turn patients, stand for long hours and lift heavy equipment.
- Competencies (knowledge/skills): Knowledge of Nursing Practices.
- Knowledge of Infection Prevention Control, control measures and practices.
- Ability to interpret basic clinical signs and symptoms.
- Basic computer literacy.
