R1 069 215 per annum, (A portion of the package can be structured according to the individual's personal needs.)
Requirements
- Minimum educational qualification: Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification (R683 plus R880) that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
- Registration with a professional council: Registration with the SANC as Professional Nurse.
- Experience: A minimum of 9 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing.
- At least 4 years of the period referred to above must be appropriate/recognisable experience at management level.
- Inherent requirement of the job: Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence.
- Willingness to perform standby after hours and over weekends/public holidays when required.
- Competencies (knowledge/skills): Knowledge of Nursing administration, Nursing Education, Quality Improvement, Infection Prevention and Control and Occupational Health strategies in health.
- Computer literacy in MS Office packages.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Provide strategic management and leadership to the nursing department.
- Oversee clinical governance and service delivery of nursing department.
- Effective people management of nursing services which include nursing personnel, HR matters, Staff development and staff support.
- Manage allocated budgets which include, Nursing Personnel, Agency, and Overtime, Budget, Equipment, Vetting and Asset Management.
