Requirements
- Minimum educational qualification: Qualification that allows registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant.
- Registration with a professional council: Registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant.
- Experience: Grade 1: None Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years’ appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Nursing Assistant with the SANC.
- Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Nursing Assistant with the SANC.
- Inherent requirement of the job: Willingness to work shifts, public holidays, after-hours, night duty and weekend.
- Willingness to rotate to other wards in the hospital and to assist at the clinics in the Sub-district when needed.
- Competencies (knowledge/skills): Good communication skills (written and verbal) Self- discipline and motivation.
Duties
- Provide quality basic nursing care.
- Provide elementary clinical nursing care.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living which include patient hygiene, nutritional status, mobility and elimination needs. -Effective utilization of physical and financial resources Maintain professional growth, ethical standards and self-development.
- Record keeping.
