Requirements
- A Senior Certificate/National Certificate (Vocational) NQF Level 4; plus a minimum of 3 years fleet administrative experience; plus a valid driver’s licence (minimum code B).
- Knowledge, Skills and Competencies Required: In depth knowledge of Fleet Management principles.
- Knowledge of procurement legislation.
- In depth knowledge of contract management.
- Above average knowledge of PFMA.
- General knowledge of labour legislation and agreements.
- General knowledge of human resource prescripts within the Public Service.
- In depth knowledge of Service providers databases.
- Ability to be analytical.
- Ability to apply Policy &
- Legislation.
- Ability to work accurately.
- Above average written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to compile meaningful reports and minutes.
- The ideal candidate should have an analytical and innovative approach to tasks, ability to work in teams and individually, assertiveness and self-confidence in dealing with peers, seniors and the public, must have conscientiousness to timeframes (deadlines), be decisive under pressure, have impeccable integrity and be committed to service delivery.
- He/she should also be accountable, have perseverance and have the ability to adapt to changed circumstances.
Duties
- Identify possible generic risks to the Administration and officials in respect of finance, maintenance and insurance of subsidized vehicles.
- Preparation of complex correspondence and presentations in respect of fleet management.
- Co-ordinate the activities involved in the monitoring of non-compliance with policy (vehicle abuse) within the Provincial Fleet in conjunction with RTI.
- Coordinate meetings/workshops between MTS, User Departments and Service Providers.
