POST 30/128 : CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST (GRADE 1) REF NO: KDHC 04/2026 (X1 POST)
SALARY : R907 617 – R995 592 per annum. The all-inclusive package consists of 70% basic salary and 30% flexible portion that may be structured in terms of the
applicable rules.
CENTRE : King Dinuzulu Hospital Complex
REQUIREMENTS : Senior Certificate/Matric or Grade 12 An appropriate qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as Clinical Psychologist. Current registration with
the Health Professions Council (HPCSA) as a Clinical Psychologist.
Experience For Grade 1: None after registration with the HPCSA. Knowledge and Skills: Appropriate clinical knowledge & experience in the field of Clinical
Psychology; Psychotherapy, assessment, counselling. Analytical report writing skills. Knowledge of current health and public service legislation, regulations
and policies. Sound knowledge of professional ethics. Research, teaching, time management and training skills.
DUTIES : Provide supervision to Intern Clinical Psychologists and participation in intern academic programme. Provide psychological service delivery at hospital level.
Participate in hospital teams/committees. Support hospital activities related to mental health. Supervise work of the psychometrists in the hospital. Implement
community outreach programmes. Assist in training for primary health care professionals.
