Requirements
- Grade 1: Experience nil.
- Current Registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse with Midwifery.
- Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate / recognizable experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing.
- Current Registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse and Midwifery.
- Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate / recognizable experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing.
- Minimum Requirements Standard 10 certificate/Grade 12.
- Basic R425 (Degree/ Diploma) in General Nursing with Midwifery.
- Current registration with SANC (2026).
- Knowledge, Skills, Attributes, And Competencies Required.
- Knowledge of nursing care processes and procedures, nursing statutes and other relevant legal framework.
- Nursing act, Health act, Occupational Health &
- Safety, Patient Right Charter, Public Services Regulation, Labour Relation act, Disciplinary and Grievance Procedure etc.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to function as part of the team.
- Batho Pele Principles Knowledge Management Report Writing Skills Computer Literacy Planning and Organizing.
Duties
- Perform clinical nursing practice in accordance with scope of practice and nursing standards for KDHC.
- Utilize human, material and physical resources effectively and efficiently.
- Perform administrative services, such as providing accurate statistics for evaluation and future planning, identify needs for financial planning and control of expenditure as an integral part of planning and PUBLIC organization.
- Provide safe and therapeutic environments as laid down by the Nursing Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act and all other applicable prescripts.
- Participate in clinical records audits.
- Promote quality nursing care as directed by standards at KDHC.
- Display a concern for patients, promoting and advocating proper treatment and care including willingness to respond to patients’ needs and expectations according to Batho Pele Principles.
