Employment in South Africa is in a very dire state. The national unemployment rate is a cause for concern, more so the rate of unemployed youth, with the majority, above 60% of the youth is unemployed. This is a challenge we see daily in all our lives. Yes4Youth seeks to change this, and they are making strides.
Yes4Youth is an NPO by the private sector which aims to solve issues facing our country, mainly the unemployment of the youth. With help from companies and the government, this initiative is actively progressing the lives of its candidates.

The Youth Employment Services (YES) has touched thousands of lives already, by helping youth gain skills and income.
What is Yes4Youth
YES is a business-led collaboration that seeks out ground-breaking ways, through innovation and technological best practices, to reignite the economy and give youth a dignified first chance. The YES 12-month quality work experience equips unemployed youth with a toolkit to be a beacon of hope for their families, households, and communities. The CV & reference letter they get at the end of the 12 months programme offers a 3x greater chance of an interview call-back
The Yes4Youth is a programme where youth are trained and given work experience while earning a stipend to cover the costs of work travel, over a 12-month period in a scare’s skill environment. This opportunity aims to tackle youth unemployment.
Yes4Youth offers successful candidates with learnerships, internships, and work readiness programmes that employ candidates and provide full support throughout the programme. With an app that monitors performance and regular calls by trained consultants, the programme is geared to uplift candidates.
The Yes4Youth programme supports the goal said by the President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, in 2019 to create 1 million jobs for the youth of South Africa. This initiative has been productive thus far and aims to create a firm ground for young work seekers of South Africa.
