Requirements
- A Senior Certificate/ National Certificate (Vocational) NQF level 4; plus A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Finance environment.
- Knowledge, Skills and Competencies Required: Basic knowledge of financial functions, practices as well as the ability to capture data, operate a computer and collate financial statistics.
- Basic knowledge and insight of the public service financial legislations, procedures and Treasury regulations (PFMA, DORA, PSA, PSR, PPPFA, Financial Manual).
- Basic Knowledge of financial operating systems (PERSAL, BAS, LOGIS etc).
- Knowledge of legislative framework.
- Basic Knowledge of Work Procedures.
- Job knowledge.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal relations skills.
- Flexibility skills.
- Teamwork.
- Computer Literacy.
- Planning and organisation skills.
- Language skills.
- The ideal candidate must be innovative, independent, time frame driven, meticulous, have the ability to maintain confidentiality and be proactive.
- He/she must be honest, have integrity, be reliable, patient, committed, professional, have perseverance and be punctal.
Duties
- Render financial accounting transactions.
- Facilitate procurement of goods and services for the Chief Directorate.
- Render budget support service.
- Perform bookkeeping support services and preparations of reports and submissions.
- Supervise human resources/staff.
