Duties
- The incumbent will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks which includes but are not limited to the following: Records management of preparation of verification files: Verify information supplied by applicants.
- Prepare verification files for verification team.
- Monitor and account file movement and distribute files to verifiers or Researchers.
- Provide and distribute of special pension research.
- Information to researcher.
- Provide administrative support to the unit: Render administrative support to the verification team.
- Follow up on cases file not verified.
- Provide input into the statistics for management decision making.
- Liaise and interact with relevant organisations to validate information for special pension status determination.
- Compliance with special pensions and GPAA legislation, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Dealing with Client services: Acknowledge, respond and resolve client queries, enquiries and complaints within verification.

All shortlisted candidates, including the SMS, shall undertake two preentry assessments. For SMS positions, certain candidates may be required to undergo additional Psychometric Assessments. Applicants must note that pre-employment checks and references will be conducted once they are short-listed and the appointment is also subject to a positive outcome on these checks, which include, but not limited to: security clearance, security vetting, qualification/study verification, citizenship verification, financial/asset record check, previous employment verification and criminal record.
