Requirements
- Minimum educational qualification: Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Experience: Appropriate driving experience.
- Inherent requirement of the job: Valid code (B/EB) driver’s licence.
- Valid Public Driving Permit (PDP).
- Willingness to work overtime.
- Competencies (knowledge/skills): Good communication skills (written and verbal).
- The ability to work independently and be accountable and responsible with good interpersonal skills.
- Be physically fit and capable of performing duties that require physical exertion.
- Physical fit to perform transportation duties.
- Knowledge of Transport Regulations and Circular no 4 of 2000.
- Knowledge of routine, maintenance, Inspections for defects on vehicles and safe driving skills.
Duties
- Ensure an efficient and effective transport service for Primary Health Care and Health Programs at Khayelitsha/Eastern Sub Structure Office.
- Conduct routine inspecting of the GG vehicles and timely reporting of defects.
- Ensure vehicles are kept clean and tidy.
- Ensure vehicles used are kept clean and tidy.
- Execute transport duties in relation to a scheduled roster.
- Ensure an effective daily transport administration duty is rendered and provide support to Supervisor.
