Requirements
- Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist (Master of Medicine in Internal Medicine and Fellowship of the college of South Africa).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience after registration with HPCSA as a Medical specialist.
- MBCHB and Current registration with HPCSA as a specialist.
- Be able to work commuted overtime.
- Computer literacy and additional experience in management or supervision will be an added advantage.
Duties
- Clinical leadership and Governance in the Internal Medicine department.
- Coordinate all clinical and administration services in the department.
- Improved patient experience of care.
- Maintain satisfactory clinical, professional, and ethical standards related to these services.
- Reduction of waiting time of Operations.
- Ensure effective and efficient specialist services to contribute to optimal and quality health care in line with the vison, mission, and values of Gauteng department of health.
- Ensure compliance to SOP’s and clinical Protocols.
- Supervision and effective utilization of medical staff.
- Responsible for training and teaching of Medical Interns, junior doctors, and medical students.
- Assist in the implementation of DOH policies and programmes.
- Full participation in Quality assurance, management of PSI’s and complaints.
- Participate in academic activities in the hospital and in the cluster.
- The potential candidate should be highly skilled in performing clinical work and take part in commuted overtime.
