Requirements

  • National Diploma (NQF 6) in Pasture or Agronomy or Botany as recognized by SAQA.
  • Valid compulsory registration with SACNASP as a Certificated Natural Scientist.
  • Three (3) years’ post-qualification technical (scientific) experience.
  • Knowledge of planted pasture / veld management / ecology / botany / agronomy is beneficial.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and compliance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Technical Competencies: Programme and project management.
  • Scientific methodologies.
  • Research and development.
  • Computer-aided scientific

Duties

  • To provide technical support for research, assessment, evaluation, development, innovation and protection to ensure the sustainability of resources and contribute towards a knowledge economy.
  • Develop and implement methodologies, policies, systems and procedures.
  • Provide technical support and advice.
  • Perform technical scientific analysis and regulatory functions.
  • Research and development.
  • Human capital development.
