Requirements

  • National Diploma (NQF 6) in Chemistry or Soil Science as recognized by SAQA.
  • Valid compulsory registration with SACNASP as a Certificated Natural Scientist.
  • Three (3) years’ post-qualification technical (scientific) experience.
  • Knowledge of the soils, water, feed, essential oils and plant material analyses;
  • Relevant understanding of the functioning of Laboratory equipment.
  • Technical Competencies: Programme and project management.
  • Scientific methodologies.
  • Research and development.
  • Computer-aided scientific

Duties

  • Analytical analysis of samples (soils, water, feed, essential oils and plant material) and responding timeously to our clients;
  • Assist in the development of new analytical procedures.
  • To perform technical scientific analysis and regulatory functions.
  • Research and development.
  • Human capital development.
  • Supervise, mentor and guide Laboratory Assistants;
  • Keep up to date with regard to the applicable regulations, prescripts, policies, procedures, technologies and new developments to be able to render an efficient and effective service to our clients.
