  • Minimum educational qualification: An appropriate 3-year National Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management or Labour Law.
  • Experience: Appropriate experience in PERSAL.
  • Appropriate experience in labour relations.
  • Inherent requirement of the job: Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence.
  • Willingness to travel within the Garden Route geographical area, Central Karoo and Cape Town.
  • Competencies (knowledge/skills): Computer literacy (MS Office package).
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team with good report writing skills.

Duties

  • Facilitate the effective functioning of the IMLC’s and act as secretarial for the IMLC.
  • Maintain and report on labour relations statistics.
  • Facilitation of training for all staff with regards to labour relations issues.
  • Assist with preparation for conciliation and arbitration and represent where required.
  • Handle grievances and disciplinary matters.
