Requirements

  • An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification) in Accounting, Financial Management, or a related field;
  • A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in management accounting, budgeting, or a financial project management environment.
  • Competencies: Knowledge of the following: Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and Treasury Regulations;
  • Management accounting principles (budgeting, monitoring and reporting);
  • Government financial systems (e.g.
  • BAS, LOGIS, SCOA);
  • Applicable legislative, regulatory and governance frameworks;
  • Financial analysis, data management and reporting methodologies.
  • Skills in the following: Financial analysis and reporting;
  • Budgeting and forecasting;
  • Computer literacy (intermediate or advanced MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook);
  • Numeracy and analytical thinking;
  • Planning and organising;
  • Communication (written and verbal);
  • Problem-solving and decision-making;
  • Data management and reconciliation;
  • Report writing and presentation;
  • Stakeholder engagement;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Provide Budget Support and Financial Control;
  • Calculate Adjustments Estimate and Main Budget Development;
  • Maintain Financial Governance, Compliance and Stakeholder Support.
