Young people across South Africa often face the challenge of getting work experience after finishing their studies. Kouga Local Municipality understands this struggle and has opened exciting internship opportunities for 2025 to help address this gap. These internships are designed to equip you with practical workplace skills, while also offering a monthly stipend to support you during your training.

If you’re between the ages of 18 and 35, live within the Kouga region, and have a qualification in Tourism, Public Management, ICT, or Electrical Engineering, then this opportunity might be perfect for you.

Kouga Municipality has opened several internship posts across its departments. These are not permanent jobs but training opportunities meant to prepare young people for future employment. Each internship lasts between 12 and 18 months and comes with a monthly stipend of R4 000 to cover your basic needs like transport and food.

    • Have good communication skills — this means you should be able to express yourself clearly, both verbally and in writing.
    • Permanently reside within the Kouga Local Municipality area.

This opportunity is open to all qualifying candidates, but preference will be given to residents of the Kouga region. The aim is to uplift local youth and provide meaningful employment pathways.
