Job Description
As a Trainee Planner, you’ll follow a bespoke structured programme designed to build your knowledge and skills. Responsibilities
Job Learning:
- Apply learnt knowledge and skills by demonstrating an awareness of performance factors in current trade and managing opportunities and risks accordingly.

- Participate in building a product assortment informed by current trade, post-mortem analysis, and the seasonal strategy.
- Forecast financial plans and highlight variances for sales, orders, stock, and markdown planning.
Current Trade:
- Extract and analyze financial KPIs and product performance against set plans by sub-department, season, category, and sub-category.
- Contribute towards compiling reports highlighting performance-impacting issues.
- Assist with re-forecasting financial plans and concluding current trade action plans.
- Conduct competitive shop/store visits and relay findings and recommended action plans.
Building an Assortment:
- Collaborate with the buying and location planning team to build the assortment plan.
- Maintain the assortment in the relevant system (APS).
- Extract and analyze assortment reports for the planner.
Order Placement & Product Allocation:
- Create all order lines for the season, ensuring accuracy in details such as category, sub-category, product attributes, size curve, cost prices, selling prices, and PMO.
- Follow up on orders and resolve potential problems with the planner.
- Assist with order raising and timely allocations according to calendar deadlines.
Qualifications
- A completed Degree in Commerce, Business Science, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Strategic Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Retail.
- Relevant experience is advantageous.

Qualifications
