The Office of the Chief Justice internship program for 2025–2027 is now open for applications!     Office Of The Chief Justice Internship Program Overview

    • Program Duration: 1 April 2025 – 31 March 2027 (24 months)
    • Internship Type: Graduate Internship Programme
    • Monthly Stipend: R7,450.62
    • Application Closing Date: 7 March 2025

    Available Internships at the Office of the Chief Justice

    1. Legal Internship (Ref No: 2024/13CC/OCJ)

    • Number of Positions Available: 2
    • Location: Constitutional Court, Braamfontein
    • Minimum Requirements:
      • Matric (Grade 12)
      • LLB degree at NQF Level 8 (with at least 480 credits) as recognized by SAQA.
    • Duties and Responsibilities:
      • Conduct legal research.
      • Assist with case law analysis.
      • Draft legal opinions.
      • Provide support to judges and legal teams.
      • Perform other administrative duties related to court operations.
    • Application Process:

    Application Requirements

    • Applications must be submitted using the NEW Z83 form.
    • The form can be downloaded from:
      • www.judiciary.org.za
      • www.dpsa.gov.za
    • A comprehensive CV must be attached.
    • Include contactable references (with telephone numbers and email addresses).
    • Only shortlisted candidates will be required to submit certified copies of qualifications and other supporting documents before the interview.
    • Applications must be fully completed, signed, and initialed to avoid disqualification.
    • Foreign qualifications must be accompanied by an SAQA evaluation certificate.
    • Non-South African citizens must submit proof of permanent residence when shortlisted.
    • The department does not accept fax or email applications.
