Minimum Requirements

• MBChB Degree or equivalent
• Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) for independent practice

Job Responsibilities

As a Registrar in the Department of Anaesthesiology, your core duties will include:

• Providing clinical anaesthesia services to patients at Steve Biko Academic Hospital and affiliated referral hospitals.
• Active participation in academic programmes, including both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.
• Involvement in research and clinical audits to promote evidence-based practices.
• Rotations through all training hospitals associated with the Department for holistic exposure.
