Role Overview
As an Officer: Registrations, your role will focus on managing registration processes for students, candidates, and professionals. Your responsibilities include ensuring compliance with relevant sections of the Architectural Profession Act 44 of 2000, managing queries, and maintaining records. You’ll report to the Registrations & CPD Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understand and apply sections 11, 12, 18, 19, 20, 22, 23, and 24 of the Architectural Profession Act 44 of 2000 and the Promotion of Administrative Justice Act of 2000.
- Application Processing: Evaluate new registrations, reregistrations, reinstatements, and renewals using the MM online portal.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed monthly reports on registration applications, processing times, and compliance with the Service Charter.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Manage email and telephone queries, offering guidance on registration processes.
- Database Management: Utilize automated systems for documentation and record-keeping.
Requirements
- Qualifications: Matric/Grade 12, plus a Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Public Administration or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in an administrative role; supervisory experience is an advantage.
- Skills: Strong business communication, knowledge of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF), and familiarity with the Immigration Act 13 of 2002.

Role Overview
The Officer: Legal and Compliance ensures that SACAP adheres to its regulatory framework. Reporting to the Senior Manager: Legal and Compliance, this role involves investigating improper conduct, managing legal matters, and ensuring statutory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigations: Support the Investigating Committee in addressing complaints under section 28 of Act 44 of 2000. Conduct thorough investigations and prepare reports.
- Legal Compliance: Monitor adherence to SACAP’s Code of Conduct and present compliance workshops.
- Contract Drafting: Assist in drafting legal contracts, including SLAs, employment agreements, and project contracts.
- Management Reporting: Prepare detailed reports for internal stakeholders, including the Registrar and EXCO.
Requirements
- Qualifications: Matric/Grade 12, Bachelor of Laws (LLB), and registration with the Legal Practice Council.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in legal or compliance roles, with expertise in litigation and report writing.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of compliance laws, arbitration, and dispute resolution is an advantage.
