    The City of Ekurhuleni is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Assistant position within its esteemed municipality. This role presents a unique chance to contribute to the efficient operation of administrative functions crucial to municipal governance.     City of Ekurhuleni Administrative Assistant Position Overview:

    • Position Title: Admin Assistant: COID Claims – RISK19030
    • Closing Date: 23 July 2024
    • Department: Risk Management Department
    • Location: City of Ekurhuleni
    • Remuneration: Basic salary ranging from R 245,340.00 to R 336,504.00 per annum, plus benefits
    • Assignment Type: Permanent
    • Enquiries: Tel: 0860 54 3000.

    Minimum Requirements:

    Education: Higher Certificate in Finance, Accounting, Insurance, Risk Management, or relevant NQF Level 5 qualification.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in administrative work.
    • COID (Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases) Certificate will be an added advantage.
    • Proficient in computer literacy.

    Core Responsibilities:

    Administrative Functions:

    • Administer injury on duty claims in compliance with legal and procedural requirements.
    • Maintain accurate records and registers for audit purposes.
    • Assist in processing annual increases for pension payments.
    • Process payments to service providers efficiently and accurately.

    Communication:

    • Communicate effectively with all parties involved in the injury on duty administrative process.
    • Provide updates on the status and progress of claims to relevant stakeholders.
