Clinical Research Assistant (Post Level 12) – University of Free State

- Salary: R365,979.80 – R459,263.33 per annum (includes benefits)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Research Activities:
- Plan, execute, and finalize clinical research activities following Good Clinical Practice and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Manage logistics and workflow at the study site or clinic.
- Participant Management:
- Recruit and maintain records of study participants.
- Interview participants, including infants, children, and their guardians.
- Obtain and ensure proper documentation of consent and assent from participants.
- Data Management:
- Accurately record essential data on relevant forms and questionnaires.
- Maintain clear communication with the study team and clinic staff.
- Ensure patient confidentiality.
Inherent Job Requirements
- Qualifications:
- Pharmacist Assistant qualification (NQF Level 3/4) or Nursing qualification (NQF Level 6).
- Current registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) or South African Nursing Council (SANC).
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical/practical experience in a relevant environment.
Recommended Qualifications
- Certificates:
- Good Clinical Practice certificate.
- Valid South African driver’s license.
