1. Professional Nurse (General Stream) with Midwifery (4 Positions)
- Sub-Districts: Dundee Hospital, Charles Johnson Memorial Hospital, Greytown Hospital, and Pomeroy CHC.
- Salary Grades:
- Grade 1: R307,473 per annum (No experience required).
- Grade 2: R375,480 per annum (10 years of experience required).
- Grade 3: R451,533 per annum (20 years of experience required).
- Other Benefits: Rural Allowance, 13th Cheque, optional Medical Aid, Housing Allowance (subject to eligibility).
2. Professional Nurse (Speciality: Advanced Midwifery and Neonatal Nursing Science) (8 Positions)
- Sub-Districts: Dundee Hospital, Charles Johnson Memorial Hospital, Church of Scotland Hospital, and Greytown Hospital.
- Salary Grades:
- Grade 1: R451,533 per annum (4 years of experience required).
- Grade 2: R553,545 per annum (14 years of experience, with 10 years in the specialty, required).
- Other Benefits: Rural Allowance, 13th Cheque, optional Medical Aid, Housing Allowance (subject to eligibility).
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for these positions, candidates must meet the following criteria:
General Stream with Midwifery:
- Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing with Midwifery.
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
Specialty: Advanced Midwifery and Neonatal Nursing Science:
- Degree/Diploma in General Nursing with Midwifery.
- Post-basic qualification in Advanced Midwifery and Neonatal Science, accredited by SANC.
- At least 4 years of appropriate experience for Grade 1.
General Requirements:
- Certificates of service endorsed by Human Resources.
- Knowledge of nursing care processes, the Nursing Act, Health Act, and Batho Pele principles.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Key Performance Areas
- Provide holistic, patient-centered nursing care.
- Adhere to infection control standards and patient care protocols.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teamwork.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with policies like PMTCT, ARV, TB, and VTP guidelines.
- Promote patient rights and Batho Pele principles.
