The Centre for Public Service Innovation invites qualified and motivated candidates to apply for the position of System Developer (Ref No: 0007/2023). This exciting opportunity is based in Pretoria, Arcadia, and offers a competitive salary of R424,104 per annum (Level 09), with the potential for progression up to R496,467 per annum based on performance.
Requirements:
- Candidates should possess a recognised 3-4-year National Diploma or B-Degree in Information Technology, Software Development, Multimedia Development, or a related field equivalent to NQF level 6.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in system development is required.
- Thorough knowledge of Public Service Policy and Regulatory Framework, as well as other relevant IT regulations, is essential.
- Proficiency in system development, programming, and experience with technologies such as SQL, HTML, PHP, VB, C#, and .Net is expected.
Responsibilities:
- Develop both desktop and web-based systems, contributing to innovative solutions for the public service sector.
- Manage the acquisition of in-house and outsourced systems within the department.
- Conduct user training and comprehensive system documentation.
- Provide advisory support on system development and initiatives.
- Perform system administration tasks, including updates and security measures.
- Coordinate and facilitate user acceptance testing and functional system testing.
- Analyse and model process and data requirements, contributing to user requirement specification and functional system design.
- Collect and analyse business processes, creating process diagrams and flowcharts for systems under development.
